Ex-NBA star Shawn Kemp booked into Washington jail as video appears to show mall incident

Shawn Kemp, a six-time All-Star and three-time All-NBA First Team member, was charged in reference to a drive-by capturing exterior a Washington mall on Wednesday.

Kemp, 53, was booked into the Pierce County Jail and was being held on a drive-by capturing cost.

Tacoma police acquired a name round 2 p.m. native time about photographs being fired from a passerby car within the parking zone of the Tacoma Mall, based on FOX 13. Police mentioned no person was injured within the capturing.

A supply near the previous NBA star instructed the station that he allegedly had property stolen from his automobile on Tuesday and tracked his iPhone to the Tacoma Mall. The supply added that when he approached the car, a suspect shot at him, and he fired again in self-defense.

Kemp performed within the NBA from 1989 to 2003. He was a first-round choose of the Seattle SuperSonics and performed for the workforce till the 1996-97 season. Seattle performed the Michael Jordan-led Chicago Bulls within the 1996 NBA Finals and misplaced in six video games.
